New personal dashboard
The latest Connext Operator version adds a new personal dashboard with a more data-intensive layout.
Operator users let us know that the current home dashboard did not give them enough information on both desktop and mobile screens. We went back to the drawing board and came up with a new design that shows more data points on screen.
Showing the new dashboard
The old dashboard is still the default landing page, but you can choose to switch to the new dashboard by clicking the top right button, and selecting ‘Show personal dashboard’ (In the near future you will be able to personalize this page and add your own data points).
- Operator will remember which dashboard you prefer to use per device, but if you want to switch back to the old dashboard, you can find it behind the top right options button again.
- By default, the personal dashboard will show you a weather tile and a tile containing information on your compartments.
- On desktop all the datapoints of the same type will be aligned in a column so that you can easily compare them.
Mobile view
On mobile devices, the dashboard will be more compact. To help in navigation, shortcuts will appear that can take you directly to a section of the dashboard.
Interactivity
Each data point is interactive and can give you more information and follow up actions by clicking on it. The full name, value, and unit are always shown here. If available, a chart with 2 days of historical data is shown. Finally, the panel can contain buttons with follow up actions that take you to relevant places in Connext Operator to change settings or to give you more information.
Other updates to Connext Operator:
- White screens should now appear less often
