Before the Priva Digital Services can be used, the Top Control project metadata needs to be uploaded to the cloud.
For every graphical or functional modification in the project, the metadata needs to be uploaded again.
How to upload metadata for a TC 8 project (Priva Blue ID hardware)?
- Make sure you have the required rights in Access Control to upload metadata.
- Make sure the TC 8 project is fully commissioned with TC 8.6 or higher.
In the Generate and Sending sections of the Commissioning wizard (step 3), Operating Applications and Cloud Services configuration must be set to If necessary.
It is recommended to always update the project to the latest TC version available. - Go to My Priva, download the TC Metadata Uploader and use this application to upload the metadata to the cloud from the PC on which TC 8.6 or higher is installed and on which the project database is available (do not upload via a Remote Desktop connection or a virtual PC).
How to upload metadata for a TC 6 project (Compri HX hardware)?
- Make sure you have the required rights in Access Control to upload metadata.
- Make sure the TC 6 project is fully commissioned with TC 6.6.5.0 or higher.
- Install TC 8.7.6.0 or higher on the PC where the TC 6 project database is stored.
The TC Metadata Uploader uses components of Top Control 8 to generate the metadata for TC 6 projects. - Go to My Priva, download the TC Metadata Uploader and use this application to upload the metadata to the cloud from the PC on which TC 8.7.6.0 or higher is installed and on which the TC 6 project database is available (do not upload via a Remote Desktop connection or a virtual PC).
Note: The metadata is available in the cloud for 96 hours. After the upload, the metadata will be downloaded to the Edge Gateway. Make sure you wait long enough for the metadata to be downloaded before disconnecting the Edge Gateway from the Internet (for Building Operator Local).
