More flexibility will be added to the access rights in Priva Building Operator in week 23. With this new functionality, the three access levels as configured in TC Engineer are also applied in Building Operator. This improves your ability to manage access of users of Building Operator to specific information and functions in the building.
How does it work?
In the Building Operator section in Access Control, access levels can be set per user. The former ‘Edit Settings’ permission toggle is now replaced by three new permission toggles which correspond to the levels used in TC Engineer:
Edit settings - level 1: Users can adjust daily settings during operation, such as setpoints, time programs and manual controls.
Edit settings - level 2: Users can also adjust deeper settings of controls. This level is intended for service technicians with installation knowledge, who need to adjust settings during maintenance, such as limit value settings, time delays and follow-up times.
Edit settings - level 3: Users can change control behaviour. This level is intended for partners or employees of Priva who must be able to adjust all settings.
If an access level is chosen, users will only have access to the points associated with that level. No changes to the project are necessary, since the new functionality uses the same three access levels as configured in TC Engineer. These are the default settings. The engineer can change the level of access required for certain functionalities in TC Engineer.
Note: If a project was uploaded before March 20, 2021, it must be re-uploaded with TC Metadata Uploader version 1.0.1359.0 or higher to use this functionality. We recommend you to do this before June 9th so that you will take full advantage of the access levels update. All current users will get Level 2 access by default, so admins may have to adjust the access level for users that should have access level 1 or 3.

Rename Site Management
The toggle ‘Site Management’ in Access Control will be renamed to ‘Site Access’. The name ‘Site Management' was a bit confusing since this option has just viewing rights in the project. Users with ‘Site Access’ have access rights to the project but cannot change anything. For more rights, edit settings and an access level 1, 2 or 3 must be chosen.
