Updating the Edge Gateway may take a while. The time it takes depends on the size of the package being installed and the speed of your Internet connection. Usually, module updates take about 10 - 20 minutes and firmware updates can take up to 90 minutes.
The firmware update procedure has the following five steps:

Installing update
During the installation update, all of the files and settings on the Edge Gateway are sent to a second partition to ensure that the Edge Gateway is operational even if something goes wrong. This is the main reason why the procedure takes so long (up to 90 minutes, depending on project size).
