To properly configure a smart device to work seamlessly with the equipment connected to it, it is important to have the right configuration and software version on the smart device.
Smart Devices
For all supported smart devices, the configuration procedure is the same:
- Make sure the smart device is connected to the Priva network and visible in the overview.
- Click on the Configure button, in the overview, next to the device.
- Select the equipment for which the smart device is used.
- Provide a unique location for the equipment.
- If there are multiple smart devices needed for this equipment, select the other smart devices from the network.
- If there are any optional sensors possible for this device, select the optional sensors available.
- Select the equipment just created and go to the Configuration tab.
- Configure the IP address of the equipment.
- Update the smart device(s) by clicking the update button.
- Configure relevant settings and calibrate any sensors for this equipment in the Configuration tab.
- Deactivate the equipment's maintenance mode by clicking the three dots button
at the top right of the screen, and then selecting the appropriate actions.
Once the equipment is configured, it can read out the sensor data and is ready to send information to the CPC(s).
CPC
To configure the CPC to read the information from the equipment, the following steps should be followed:
- Click on the CPC for which you want to configure the IO. A list of connections will show up.
- Click on edit.
- Click on + Add for the “Control area(s)” that should get the sensor data from the configured equipment.
- Select the right equipment from the list of available equipment.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all sensors are connected. Then click on Done editing.
