How do you add a hardware module to a Compass?
Step 1 - Turn the controller off using the power switch on the controller.
Step 2 - Click the new module onto the DIN rail.
Step 3 - Connect the IO Network jumper cable.
Step 4 - Turn the controller power back on.
Step 5 - Go to the I/O connection page in the controller setup
Step 6 - Your new module will appear on the screen with a red exclamation mark on top of it. Once you have verified that the new hardware lineup is correct, click on the Confirm button to confirm the new line up.
Step 7 - Configure equipment to the channels of this module.
The CMX34 and MX34 modules has a built in power supply. You will need to supply power (24 VAC or 24 VDC) for these modules to work. You can connect up to three smaller modules to these main modules. The three smaller modules can be any combination of UI8 or DOR6 modules.
