In Smart Insights, the tiles within Energy expand to give insight on either gas consumption or electricity consumption. Each tile corresponds to a tagged electricity or gas meter data point and expands to show two tabs, Weekday pattern and Degree days scatterplot, each of which contain a chart.
Weekday pattern
This shows the hourly profile of average energy usage on each of the seven days of the week, from the data on the last 90 days of consumption. Hovering over the chart shows the averages for each hourly time period. Any deviations may be a starting point to investigate and optimize energy usage.
Degree day scatterplot
This shows the relationship between the degree days (x-axis) and the daily consumption (y-axis). Each dot represents one day’s consumption. Hovering over dots on the plot give more specific information about the data related to that particular dot: the date, degree day that day, and the consumption that day. For electrical consumption, heating and cooling days are shown (using a baseline temperature of 18 degrees Celsius). For gas consumption, only heating days are shown (also with a baseline temperature of 18 degrees Celsius).
