If you have received an email from Priva (noreply@priva.com) titled ‘Welcome at Priva!’, then you have been invited to use the Priva Digital Services that the Access Control administrator of your organization gave you access to.

If you have received an email from Priva (noreply@priva.com) titled ‘Update your Priva account’, go to Accept the re-invite to update your Priva account for more information.

Use the button in the invitation email to accept it. Invites are valid for a limited time as specified in the email.

After clicking the accept invitation button in the email, you enter the ‘Accept invitation’ screen. If your administrator has not enforced an account type (see Account type restriction), you will have to choose between:

• Microsoft Azure AD
• Create account
• Sign in

Once you’ve made your choice, you can only sign in using the account type you’ve chosen. If you change your mind later, you will need to ask your administrator to send a new invitation.

Microsoft Azure AD

If your organization uses Microsoft Azure AD to manage user identities, then you can use your corporate account to sign in to the Priva Digital Services (Single Sign-On). By clicking Microsoft Azure AD, a Priva Digital Services account will be created that is linked to your Azure AD identity.

Azure AD is the built-in solution for managing identities in Office 365. So, if you have Office 365, then you can choose to use your Azure AD identity for Priva Digital Services. If you don’t know if you have an Azure AD identity, ask your administrator.

Using your Azure AD identity has following main advantages: You don’t need to create a separate Priva Digital Services account, with credentials you need to memorize. If you leave the organization, you will immediately lose access to the Priva Digital Services as soon as your corporate AAD account is disabled or deleted, without necessarily being removed in Access Control

Create account

If it’s not possible to use a corporate AAD account and if you haven’t created an account before, you can click Create account. A custom account will be created and linked to the organization you are invited to.

You will be asked to verify your email address with the code that is sent to your email. If you didn’t receive an email, check your spam folder. You may need to add msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com to your safe senders list. The verification code expires after 5 minutes. Press the Send new code button to receive a new code. Note that if you click this button, the code in the previous email becomes invalid.

Sign in

If you already created a custom account before, you can click Sign in. Your existing account will then be linked to the organization you are invited to.
