How often is the Weather Data Service data updated?
Current conditions are updated every 15 minutes.
How does the Weather Data Service know the weather (forecast) at my location?
The Weather Data Service uses various different weather models based out of different places, and extrapolates the current and forecast weather at the location on file for your project (you can check this in My Priva). The best models are combined to provide the best possible forecast. Depending on the model and the information requested, the weather data may be interpolated to provide values between calculated intervals. For example, different weather models may use different spatial resolution for the location, different update frequencies, or different heights (above the ground) for different data.
What happens if my internet is interrupted?
The Weather Data Service continues to use its last received data until that data is overwritten with new data. If the overwriting procedure fails for whatever reason, it will try again every 15 minutes. After 65 minutes without a successful update, an alarm will activate and appear in Notification Center.
What is apparent outside temperature?
Apparent outside temperature is the current perceived (feels-like) temperature outdoors at your location, combining wind chill factor, relative humidity and solar radiation.
