The misting program in the Priva Compass uses the same valve outputs as the irrigation valves. If you want to use an irrigation valve in your misting program, you select the misting strategy in the settings of the irrigation valve.
Q) What do I need in the license to be able to set up misting?
A) It’s depending on the conditions you want to use to start the misting.
In the Advanced climate option there is an irrigation valve and a misting strategy available. The irrigation valve will function as a misting valve. There are plenty climate conditions that you can use to start the misting.
Also, the Basic irrigation has the possibility to use an irrigation valve as a misting valve. But if there are no climate measurements, the conditions to start the misting are very limited.
Q) Is there a misting pump available?
A) No, there is no separate misting pump in Compass, but a water system pump can be used to feed the irrigation valve which is in use as a misting valve.
If pump control is needed for misting, at least a BASIC water room must be in the license.
Q) What do I have to assign in the I/O connection to control the misting valve?
A) In the controller setup I/O connection tab you assign an irrigation valve to a digital output. The irrigation valve can be used as a misting valve.
If you also want to control a pump to feed the valve, you also have to assign a water system pump.
Q) What do I have to assign in the I/O connection to have conditions to start the misting valve?
A) That is depending on the conditions you want to use:
• For cooling a temperature sensor is needed.
• For humidification a humidity sensor is also needed.
• For advanced control with a light influence an outside light sensor is needed.
