Custom accounts can be made extra secure by enabling multifactor authentication (MFA). The account security will then be improved by adding an extra authentication method in addition to your sign-in password. Priva offers SMS and phone call as MFA options for your custom account.
Enable MFA
Enable when creating your account
You can enable MFA when you are creating your account (after accepting an invitation).
The account type ‘custom with MFA’ could be enforced by your administrator. You will then not be able to disable MFA.
Enable in your profile
If you already have a custom account, you can still enable MFA in My Priva > Edit profile. You will now have to go back to Edit profile to enter your phone number.
Disable MFA
If you have a custom account, you can disable MFA in My Priva > Edit profile. If MFA is enforced by your administrator, you will not be able to disable it.
