Explanation of user permissions (Building Automation)

Our services undergo constant development, therefore there may be user permissions missing in this article. If you notice something is missing, please let us know in the comments.

An administrator can assign permissions to users and grant access to specific sites in Access Control. This article gives an explanation of the user permissions. Depending on the subscription, not all mentioned permissions may be displayed in your Access Control.

Note: you have to re-sign in if your permissions are changed for the permissions to work.

Permissions for the application Access Control, in which you manage users and access to Priva products and services for your organization.

Access_Control_permission.png Retrieve Audit Logs for Sites

View and download audit logs (more info) for:

  • sites to which the user has access
    (not only the sites of this organization but also the sites of other organizations to which the user has access)

Makes the 'Logs' tab available in Access Control.

View and download audit logs (more info) for:

  • sites of this organization
  • sites of other organizations to which this organization has access
  • actions performed at the organizational level, so actions that are not related to a site

Makes the 'Logs' tab available in Access Control.

Manage access control for users of the Priva Digital Services in Priva Access Control; invite people to become users, give them permissions and grant access to specific sites and remove users. A person with this permission is an administrator.
Makes the 'Users' and 'Roles' tabs available in Access Control.

If included in the subscription: manage access for external applications to your data via APIs (more info).
Makes the 'Applications' tab available in Access Control.

 

Analytics Building

Permissions for the application Analytics, in which you create and share insights.

Create and edit reports and other insights. Manage the sharing of specific insights.

View reports and insights that have been shared with the user.

 

Buildium

Permissions for the application Buildium Comfort Management, in which you create a healthy working environment by a digital, cloud-based eco-system with all facility management information in one place.

Manage and configure rooms with regard to the creation of QR codes (more info).

* Minimum permission required to access Buildium Comfort Management.

View the Comfort dashboard of your building with KPIs and well-being information.

 

Cloud Operator

Permissions for the application Building Operator, in which you control and monitor the climate in your building.

View and edit dashboards.
Makes the 'Dashboard' tab available in Building Operator.

Only view dashboards.
Makes the 'Dashboard' tab available in Building Operator.

Access_Control_permission.png Edit settings - Level 1

Adjust daily settings during operation, such as setpoints, time programs, and manual overrides.

TC Engineer has the same three levels of editing permissions.

Level 1 + adjust deeper settings of controls.
This level is intended for service technicians with installation knowledge, who need to adjust settings during maintenance, such as limit value settings, time delays, and follow-up times.

TC Engineer has the same three levels of editing permissions.

Level 1 + 2 + change control behavior.
This level is intended for partners or employees of Priva who must be able to adjust all settings.

Add or remove data points from the long-term storage and have insight into the Historical Data Storage subscription license (more info).
Makes the 'Historical data management' page available in Building Operator.

View and edit manual overrides (more info).
Makes the 'Manual overrides' tab available in Building Operator.

Upload project metadata to the cloud (more info).
Makes the download 'TC Metadata Uploader' available in My Priva.

This makes the project tree (created in TC Engineer) visible.

* Minimum permission required to access Building Operator.

Only view values. Access to the site(s) in Building Operator.

 

Energy Insight

Permissions for the application Energy Insight by ErbisOne, in which you monitor, analyze and get real insight into the energy consumption of your buildings.

Configure for each building part which data you want to be displayed in the Monitor (more info).
Makes the 'Setup' tab available in Energy Insight.

View energy insights (more info).
Makes the 'Monitoring' tab available in Energy Insight.

 

Installation & Maintenance

Permissions for the application Installation & Maintenance, in which you configure and manage your devices and installation.

Register and configure Edge Gateways in Installation & Maintenance (more info).
Access_Control_permission.png Site Access
* Minimum permission required to access Installation & Maintenance.

Access to Installation & Maintenance, without viewing devices (the user will also need 'Provisioning' > 'Manage connected systems' to view devices).

 

My Priva

Permissions for My Priva, which is the home page leading you to all apps and services you have access to and providing information about your subscriptions.

View and edit payment preferences.
Access_Control_permission.png Manage Subscriptions

View billing data, edit the purchase order number, and order subscriptions.
Makes the 'Billing' tab available in My Priva.

 

Notification Center

Permissions for the application Notification Center, in which you handle the alarms in the installation.

* Minimum permission required to access Notification Center.

View alarms in the monitor tab, acknowledge alarms, receive notifications, and create personal rules.

Create organizational rules.
View and edit schedules.

 

Provisioning

Permissions for provisioning gateways.

Access_Control_permission.png Manage connected systems

View devices in Installation & Maintenance (the user will also need 'Installation & Maintenance' > 'Site Access' for this).

Register a Cloud Connector using the 'Cloud Connector setup' which is installed on the Cloud Connector.

 

Top Control

Permissions for communication via Remote Management (via TC Engineer, TC Operator, TC ServeCenter, TC History) and for the use of Cloud History with TC History Connect (via TC Engineer, TC Operator).

Access and operate the project via Remote Management.
This permission makes the download 'TC History Connect' available in My Priva.
Access_Control_permission.png Remote Commissioning

Commissioning the project via Remote Management (via TC Engineer).
For this, the user also needs permission ‘Remote Access’.
