Notifications will be sent to the people assigned to the schedule: people who are assigned to time slots and the ‘persons to inform’ (optional).
Note that once you start creating the first schedule, all notifications of all sites of the organization will stop being sent to everyone! From then on, notifications will only be sent to people assigned to a schedule. This means that, from then on, no one will receive notifications for the sites and alarm groups that are not linked to a schedule. This applies to all notification types (mail, SMS, push). |
Make sure there are no rules or user preferences blocking the notifications from being sent. |
Persons that can be assigned to a schedule:
|
Persons to inform
The ‘person to inform’ will receive a notification for every activating alarm of alarm groups linked to the schedule. This person even receives notifications if there is no one assigned to a time slot. The notification will not be repeated for the 'person to inform'.
The content of the notification messages for ‘persons to inform’ will not differ from those for persons assigned to time slots.
Person in time slot
The person in the active time slot receives notifications based on the schedule notification settings (number of notifications and interval) set by the schedule creator.
The notifications stop from being sent when:
- Someone acknowledges the alarm.
- The notifications have been repeated according to the notification settings (number of notifications and interval) and all escalation levels have been completed.
- The time slot ends and there is no consecutive time slot in any escalation level.
Note that an alarm becoming inactive, doesn’t stop the notifications. The alarm still needs to be acknowledged.
